Hey! Very Happy

Another collaboration map! (Surprise, haha!)

I'm aiming for a small but non linear, chaotic, map with a complex layout, where the player is challenged to make his own choices on how he can conquer the level.

90% of it was done by myself, anyway here is a screenshot of what it looks like before I converted it to NT textures. Also please note this area is under heavy WIP!

Well here's a comparison, the night sky one looks a lot better and more striking in my opinion, is it possible to use this for E2 somehow?

Nice screens Smile A marble more green, and it will adapt itself better to the theme of NT Smile (I can take charge for the re-texturation) its place in episodes will depend on its difficulty.

Well to be honest is going to be a bitch, not to insult the guy I was working with, but a lot of the hard work is the result of trying to fix a lot of ugly lazy areas.... Franck, would you be interested in replacing a key route and helping me a bit with the layout? So that I can focus on Radiation Sickness? Snakes had a harddrive crash and seems to have given up working on it, so development on that map is pretty chaotic as well haha.

Awesome.... that's good to hear!! I'm looking forward to seeing how this map turns out now with you working on it as well. You're also very welcome to retexture the map to make it fit into E3 by the way! Smile

I'm deleting his second route, because his first he seemed very hungry to make something good, and put effort into it, and I was able to salvage and had some good ideas I was able to build on.... the second one was just downright lazy haha, this way all 3 mappers will have a key route of their own, which will be cool. Smile

I'll finish the layout for my route then send the map to you.

I tested your map, it seems really good, but I noticed a big deficiency of life, and ammunition. I think that it would be good to add stimpack in certains places, I was lacking ammunition, as soon as I was in the second room, and when the cyber was freed.

I think that this map can be easily to re-textured Smile

As for deficiency of life and ammunition.... I wanted to have survival gameplay where the player is forced to scavenge for resources and bigger guns that are scattered around while maneuvering past enemies and dodging off enemy fire.... and I don't know if I want the player to be able to kill the cyberdemon right away, and make them choose to unleash the cyberdemon only when they collect enough firepower from around the level to face him (including the two cell packs are near his location). Razz

HOWEVER.... you can feel free add more health and ammunition because I probably went a little overboard, haha. And feel free to start working on the level, because I'm trying to work on a collaboration with my brother for RoD and fix all his cute noob mistakes so I'm overwhelmed with that ATM haha. I'm really looking forward to seeing what your yellow key route looks like and how the retexturing goes. Smile

Yay!

Well the map is sent, if you run out of ammo (and you will run out of ammo) you have to punch the cyberdemon to death because fuck you, haha.  Cool
You can add more ammo Smile

I decided to play the map again and I completely exhausted the map's ammo and had some monsters left, so Franck was right. Smile Although, to an extent I do want to have the beginning part of the map where you have to take a shotgun from the dead clutches of a shotgunner and get chased around a bit before you can start playing aggressively.. I just took it to an extreme level where only the author can win, so you can tone it down a little bit, haha. Razz
